| Tammy looks humiliated having to wear this garb. She
was the 2006 Texas Grand Champion Senior Cow (if you are into that
sort of thing). At 32" tall, she is among my smallest cows. She has
great calves and will have one sired by Diablo this year. |
 |
| A 34" grey cow with lyre shaped horns that are very
popular, and an unusually large hump for a cow. Grey is my favorite
mini zebu color, becoming blue in winter and near white in summer. |
 |
| This tiny paint heifer is two years old and
hopefully will breed for the first time this year. She's a blue/gray
that is gorgeous in both her winter and summer coat. She has tons of
"chrome". |
 |
| A 33" tall gray cow with nice horns & hump as well
as a typical zebu head. She's a beauty. She is bred for a 2010 calf. |
 |
| Here's a very tiny heifer that is 27-1/2" tall at
two years old! She's also very correct. She's my smallest, but all
my cows are less than 35" tall. Look at the size of that hump
already! |
 |
| Miniature Zebu cows have highly developed maternal
instincts and make excellent mothers. They are slower to develop
than regular sized cattle and usually do not breed until about 18
months of age, compared to normal sized cattle that breed at about
12 months of age. They are very fertile and produce plenty of milk
for the growing calf. |
