| This picture shows some of the 2011 calf crop and
the diverse colors we're producing. Some of the best are yet to
come, so check back! |
 |
| This gorgeous heifer is the smallest of the 2011
paint calves, and the most full of life! She's out of Diablo and
this 33" cow. She's going to be a keeper! |
 |
| Last but not least......a fabulous ending to the
2011 season. This heifer calf is the most colorful of the year. Out
of Diablo and this 33" cow of Komoko lineage. |
 |
| My granddaughter Shayna with a black & white calf.
Named for his unique color combination, this is "Obama"!! |
 |
| This fantastic bull calf was one of the first for
2011. His reddish tan color should turn black in the next few
months. He has lots of "chrome" and is as flashy as they come, hence
his name FLASH! His sire is Bodacious. |
 |
| This 2011 heifer is colored the same as her full
sister from 2010 (#35 below) except she carries more white, so I'm
convinced her gray areas will turn black. She's a gorgeous girl and
very lively. Her name is Moonbeam, out of the cow Moonglow. |
 |
| Zebu calves are born more the size of fawns. This
gorgeous heifer calf will turn black in a few months. This calf has
fabulous color as well as conformation. |
 |
| This nicely marked heifer is very tiny, my smallest
of the year. Born to the black cow pictured and sired by Diablo, a
black/white paint, she will hopefully turn black when she sheds. Her
name is Sugar. |
 |
| And Sugar did turn black!!!!!!!!! She's the one
on the left.
The heifer on the right is even smaller. She is a year old in the
picture. Both of these girls are very nicely marked and very tame.
It's more fun when you need to handle these animals if they are tame
and broke to lead. |
 |
| Here's Sugar as a yearling! I'd love to have a
whole herd of these! She's very small, nicely colored, and has a
beautiful conformation. |
 |
| Here's Sugar as a two year old! Her mother is maybe
the most beautiful cow in my herd, but Sugar is fabulous! It's hard
to imagine the little tan & white calf above would turn into this
gorgeous creature! |
|
| Pictured here are two 16" calves at birth. The bull
on the left is Boogieman who was 29-1/2" tall at two years and Lil
Bit O' Honey (Lily) on the right who was 27-1/2" tall at two years
old. |
 |
| |
|
| This little girl is a keeper. Princess was born a
very light gray & white. In this picture she is two months old and
changing to black & white very quickly. She is extremely small, and
was sired by Diablo. |
 |
| This was the smallest heifer born in 2011, out of a
very small 29-1/2" first calf cow. She too will remain very small.
Her sire is only 32" tall. This little girl is more the size of a
fawn. |
